Classes to Commence at Thrust Institute of Maintenance

Sister School to Thrust Flight Pilot Academy Launches A&P Curriculum

Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P) courses will commence on 06 November 2023 at Addison, Texas’s Thrust Institute of Maintenance—sister school of the renowned Thrust Flight pilot academy.

The convening of Autumn classes occasions the fulfillment of Thrust Institute of Maintenance’s 21 June 2023 commitment to offer an Airframe & Powerplant technician curriculum at its facility on Texas’s Addison Airport (ADS).

The new program will provide aviation technicians an exceptional educational experience and opportunity to earn the FAA’s Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certification—a standard prerequisite to the aircraft maintenance technician career.

Consistent with its parent institution’s guiding ethos, Thrust Institute of Maintenance—under the leadership of director Jon Dillenberg—offers upcoming aviation technicians an innovative curriculum administered by instructors dedicated to their students’ individual and collective success.

Mr. Dillenberg stated: “At Thrust Institute of Maintenance, we are passionate about shaping the future of aviation maintenance professionals. With our cutting-edge facility and experienced faculty, we aim to provide students with a comprehensive education that equips them with the necessary skills to thrive in the aviation industry as Aviation Maintenance Technicians.”

Thrust Flight and Thrust Institute of Maintenance CEO Patrick Arnzen set forth: “Aviation Maintenance Technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft. With the launch of our A&P class, we are committed to providing a top-notch education that prepares students for the challenges of this industry. Our approach nurtures critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for the real-world scenarios they’ll encounter.”

The curriculum at Thrust Institute of Maintenance encompasses a wide range of theoretical and practical modules covering aircraft systems, engines, electrical systems, avionics, and maintenance practices. Through rigorous didactic coursework and  hands-on exercises, diligent students gain deep understandings of aviation mechanics—thereby garnering knowledge and skills essential to the aviation workplace.

In addition to the current daytime program, Thrust Institute is planning to offer night classes for A&P students starting in early 2024.

Among the advantages enjoyed by Thrust Institute of Maintenance students is the school’s strategic location on northeastern-Texas’s Addison Airport, a thriving hub of aviation activity. The institute’s location allows students to foster strong connections to the aviation industry by immersing themselves in a genuine, functioning airport environment. Moreover, by making themselves part of the ADS community, students better position themselves for internships, networking, and employment prospects.

Thrust Institute of Maintenance takes pride in its faculty, which comprises highly-experienced professionals whose real-world expertise informs their teaching and affords their students immensely valuable insights into the aviation maintenance field.
