New Piper to Deliver New Seminoles

Arrows Next

Hot off a year that saw The New Piper Aircraft, Inc. have one of its most-successful fleet sales increases ever, the company tells us it is now set to deliver the first of seven Seminoles to Comair Aviation Academy of Sanford (FL).

Comair Aviation Academy, which is owned by Delta Airlines, originally placed this order last year with deliveries to commence in September 2001. With the events that followed the September 11th attacks, Comair requested that delivery be delayed until first-quarter 2002. "Events over the past year have created more of a sense of camaraderie than ever amongst members of the Aviation community," says Dan Snell, Vice President, Customers at New Piper. "It is essential that those of us in the manufacturing sector of the industry support our flight school partners to the best of our ability since it is these schools that are training the pilots who will form the future of aviation," he added.

Comair Aviation Academy has been recognized for its training facilities, incredible safety record, and commitment to education.

"We are particularly pleased to forge this relationship with Comair since, as a member of the Delta family, they have a very large contribution to make to the future of both the Commercial and General Aviation industries." said Snell, whose responsibilities include Marketing and Sales and Customer Care.

New Piper's fortitude has paid off in that Comair has now contracted the lease of one Arrow to be tested in their flight-training program. At the end of the trial, negotiations are expected to take place for the purchase of a fleet of Arrow trainers. "Of course, our goal in the long run is to make Comair a Full-Line New Piper operator by offering New Piper aircraft for all their training needs," concluded Snell.
