Just what aviation needed, yet another black eye... this time from a repeat offender (see the attached wanted poster for previous crimes charged over a decade ago) who's had no end of trouble with the feds over the last decade-plus. On June 6, 2024, Michael Anthony Roberts pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska to charges of acting as an airman without a pilot's certificate and aircraft registration fraud.

Another day, another Starliner delay... or so it seems. NASA and Boeing leadership report that they are 'are adjusting the return to Earth of the Starliner Crew Flight Test spacecraft with agency astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams from the International Space Station.' The move off Wednesday, June 26, deconflicts Starliner’s undocking and landing from a series of planned International Space Station spacewalks while allowing mission teams time to review propulsion system data. Aircraft Went Down Off The Turks And Caicos Islands

A Piper PA-34-200 Seneca ditched into the sea about 10 miles off Northwest Point, Providenciales, following a loss of engine power. The aircraft was enroute from North Palm Beach County Airport, FL (F45) to Providenciales International Airport (PLS/BPV) when it experienced power loss. The Coast Guard rescued two people on board, Saturday, after F-BXLZ, a Piper Seneca, ditched 10 miles northwest of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. A Coast Guard Operation Bahamas Turks and Caicos MH-60 Jayhawk aircrew hoisted both individuals and transported them to emergency medical services at Turks and Caicos International Airport in stable condition.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced that the winner of the 2024 GAMA Aviation Design Challenge is the team from Raisbeck Aviation High School in Tukwila, Washington. The Pilot Of The Airplane Declared Minimum Fuel With Air Traffic Control (ATC)

Analysis: The pilot and passenger departed on a cross-country flight. Automatic dependent surveillance – broadcast (ADS-B) data indicated that the airplane flew at a cruise altitude between 11,000 ft and 13,000 ft mean sea level (msl) on a north to northeast heading consistent with its planned destination for most of the flight. About 30 minutes before the end of the flight, the airplane began a descent and then turned east. Shortly thereafter, the pilot of the airplane declared minimum fuel with air traffic control (ATC). A few minutes later the pilot declared critical fuel due to a fuel leak.
