While at Sun ‘n Fun 2015, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, visited the RANS Aircraft site to find out what the new upgrades are on the RANS S7. To get an answer for this question, he talked with RANS CEO, Randy Schlitter. As a kit-built, tandem-seating taildragger, The RANS S7 has already made a reputation for itself as being a utilitarian type of airplane. Schlitter says there have been about 10 major improvements made to what was already a good airplane. He added that all the improvements make it a simpler airplane to build.<

Three BASE jumpers who leaped from the top of 1 World Trade Center in September, 2013 have been acquitted of the most serious charge leveled against them, but were found guilty of lesser charges associated with the stunt.

Both the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Congress are concerned about accidents and near accidents occurring because gliders are exempted from certain transponder rule requirements. The FAA has issued an Advance Notice Of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) to solicit input regarding potential regulation revisions.
