Poland's flag carrier LOT airlines operating out of Warsaw's Chopin Airport was the target of a cyber attack Sunday that resulted in the grounding of 10 LOT airlines flights affecting about 1,400 passengers.

Boeing announced the next phase in ecoDemonstrator 757 testing Friday, including the first flight with U.S.-made "green diesel" and two new environment-related technologies. L-3 Aviation Products (L-3 AP) is now offering an underwater locator beacon that is in compliance with the new 90-day operational standard published in TSO-C121b for all L-3 recorder products. This offer comes after the FAA announced that it will no longer be granting TSO-C121 or C121a approvals to beacons manufactured after December 1, 2015. Over the coming months, the EASA is expected to publish ETSO requirements that are in line with the FAA standards.
