B-29 Doc History Restored Tour Adds Stops In New Mexico And California

'Doc' Is One Of Only Two B-29 Superfortresses Still Airworthy

The B-29 Doc History Restored Tour will resume the 2021 tour season with stops in Albuquerque, NM, Chino, CA, and Inyokern, CA, in September and October. B-29 Doc, one of only two B-29 Superfortresses still airworthy and flying today, will launch its fall tour Sept. 17 through Oct. 4. Doc will arrive at Cutter Aviation at Albuquerque International Sunport, Friday, Sept. 17, and will be available for B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides and ground and flight deck tours Friday, Sept. 17 through Sunday, Sept. 18. Engine Failure Unites Commemorative Air Force Units From Colorado, Arizona

The Groups Worked Together To Restore The B-25 To Its Flying Glory

B-25 Maid in the Shade, took a visit to the Rocky Mountain Wing Airport, from CAF Airbase Arizona. During the trip, unfortunately one of the engines failed. The Rocky Mountain Wing, located in Grand Junction, Colorado did everything they could to help their fellow CAF flight and ground crews while they addressed the issue. The Rocky Mountain Wing has plenty of experience as they have been around for over a decade and had no problem stepping up to the plate. A B-17 Texas Raiders Showcase is taking place in Englewood, Colorado through September 9th, 2021. Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight and the Commemorative Airforce presents the showcase of a fleet of iconic WWII aircraft, led by the B-17 Flying Fortress Texas Raiders. The aircraft will fly into Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport and show off for seven days of cockpit tours and warbird flights.
