Air Force search and rescue teams worked with US Coast Guard crews
to locate two pilots missing in the Gulf of Mexico, after their
F-15C Eagles collided during a training exercise Wednesday
afternoon.
It's one delivery Boeing was quite happy -- we'd say relieved --
to finally make. On Wednesday, the American planemaker delivered
Japan's first KC-767 Tanker to the Itochu Corp., for Japan's Air
Self-Defense Force (JASDF). It is the first aerial refueling
aircraft in Japan's history.
Lockheed Martin has tried to reassure the public and its
shareholders that recent problems with the F-35 Joint Strike
Fighter's Pratt & Whitney engines are just growing pains,
common in development of new aircraft. But those same shareholders
recently heard a JP Morgan analyst warn those problems threaten the
program's funding.
