Successfully Operated On Fuel Blend During Phase I Ground

Pratt & Whitney told attendees to this week's Singapore Air
Show the company's Geared Turbofan demonstrator engine successfully
operated using an alternative fuel blend during Phase I ground
testing in West Palm Beach, FL.
The National Mediation Board (NMB) announced this week there
will be an election to determine union representation for pilots at
US Airways, long represented by the Air Line Pilots Association,
International (ALPA). Pilots who fly for the merged US Airways flew
previously for America West Airlines and US Airways.
Korean Air announced Tuesday the airline will expanding its
upcoming A380 fleet with the purchase of three more superjumbos.
This firm order is in addition to the five A380s ordered by Korean
Air in 2003.
Brazilian planemaker Embraer took the opportunity at this week's
Singapore Air Show to release its projections for commercial air
traffic demand in the Asia Pacific region and China over the next
20 years.
