On 10 July 2023, Walter Extra announced his company’s lineup of industry-leading aerobatic machines is to be supplemented by the imminent addition of the 330-SX—a single-seat, steel-fuselage, carbon-fiber wing/empennage evolution of EXTRA’s perennially popular, eminently proven, eight-time-world-championship-winning 330-SC.
Comprising some 13,000 members across more than seventy units, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), formerly the Confederate Air Force, is a Dallas, Texas-based non-profit dedicated to the preservation and display of historical aircraft. The organization operates the world’s largest fleet of airworthy warbirds. In late-June 2023, the Commemorative Air Force made public the names of its 2024 CAF Hall of Fame inductees.
West Star Aviation has broken ground on a major expansion of its Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility on East Alton, Illinois’s St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN). Dubbed Hangar 67, subject expansion will add 75,700-square-feet of space to West Star’s ALN operation, boosting the facility’s total size to just over half-a-million square feet of hangar, back shop, and space for aircraft modifications and painting.
