From 2019 (YouTube Version): Sporty’s Is More Than Just a Pilot Shop
Sporty's is well known for their line of products for pilots, having been a part of the aviation landscape for decades. But less-well known is the company's in-airplane flight training, according to Sporty's Academy president and COO Eric Radtke, who spoke recently with Aero-News Editor-in-Chief Jim Campbell. Sporty's says that the Academy is committed to its students success, and is proud of a success rate more than double the national average.
Aero Linx: Beechcraft Heritage Museum
The Museum began as the Staggerwing Museum Foundation, incorporated in October 1973 under the auspices of the Staggerwing Club. In April 2007, the Museum was renamed Beechcraft Heritage Museum to reflect our commitment to promoting aviation education and preserving the heritage of all Beechcraft models from 1932 through the present.
Model Aircraft
An unmanned aircraft that is: (1) capable of sustained flight in the atmosphere; (2) flown within visual line of sight of the person operating the aircraft; and (3) flown for hobby or recreational purposes.
Compulsory Reporting Points
Reporting points which must be reported to ATC. They are designated on aeronautical charts by solid triangles or filed in a flight plan as fixes selected to define direct routes. These points are geographical locations which are defined by navigation aids/fixes. Pilots should discontinue position reporting over compulsory reporting points when informed by ATC that their aircraft is in “radar contact.”
