Stillwater High School Establishes Pipeline for Aviation Courses

Freshmen to Seniors to Gain Access to CTE Courses Focused on Aviation

A high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma has embarked on a program to offer aviation themed courses for postsecondary credit. The system will allow students to obtain credits for aviation courses approved under the CORE curriculum, counting for their computer technology graduation requirements while building a base for future aeronautical studies. In all, high schoolers will be able to take 4 years of aviation classes, later specializing in crewed and uncrewed systems in their last 2 years of training.

NTSB Prelim: Beech A36

Airplane Passed The Final Approach Fix At 550 Ft, Which Was 750 Ft Below The Minimum Descent Altitude

On October 5, 2022, about 1356 eastern daylight time, a Beech A36, N902AT, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Arundel, Maine. The private pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 business flight. According to a family member and officer of the pilot’s construction company, the pilot and passenger were returning from a business trip to Presque Isle, Maine.
