New UAV Hoped to Advance the State of Tilting Wing Designs
Advanced Aircraft Company has been selected to develop a tilt-wing prototype UAV for NASA. The "aero-activated", uncrewed aircraft will make considerable use of 3D printed materials and lightweight alloys throughout the development process, from rapid iteration all the way to small scale production. The company promises that the aircraft will offer a simpler, more robust tilt-wing configuration than existing manned aircraft, thanks to the lack of any necessary passenger equipment or space.
Wings Over Muskegon Nabs A-10 Demo Team for July Show
Wings Over Muskegon, has announced its lineup for next July's air show at Michigan's Muskegon County Airport. The headlining act will be the U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team, with a supporting act provided by the Hooligans Flight Team. The new air show announced their slate of performers for next July, which marks a return of sorts for aerial entertainment in the Muskegon region.
