Approach Gate An imaginary point used within ATC as a basis for vectoring aircraft to the final approach course. Source: Brigadier-General Denis O’Reilly, Commander 2 Canadian Air Division, commenting on the decision to lift the operational pause on the CT-114 Tutor fleet. The operational pause was implemented following a Snowbirds CT-114 Tutor accident in Kamloops, B.C. on May 17, which resulted in the death of Captain Jennifer Casey, the Snowbirds Public Affairs Officer.
