By Anthony J. Liberatore Q: So Elliot, tell me about your amazing journey here in the Ampaire EEL from California. A: We call it the EEL, the electric EEL. So yes, the airplane was configured for a short duration, like airline hops, the islands, Scotland, Hawaii, where other airlines regularly running that only go maybe 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back. When you think about it, the goal has always been electric coast to coast, on electric, across the Pacific and while that's beautiful, we're not going to start there, and we sort of start at the other end.

Had Been Flying Firefighting Missions In Support Of The U.S. Forest Service

On July 16, 2022, about 1920 mountain daylight time, a Bell UH-1H, N911SZ, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Chapelle, New Mexico. The pilot, two tactical flight observers, and the rescue specialist sustained fatal injuries. The helicopter was operated as a Title 41 United States Code public aircraft flight. After several firefighting missions were flown in support of the U.S. Forest Service, the helicopter was fueled at Las Vegas Municipal Airport (LVS), Las Vegas, New Mexico.

AD 2022-16-04 Requires Inspecting The Horizontal Stabilizer Lower Skin...

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (Gulfstream) Model GV and GV-SP airplanes. This AD was prompted by corrosion of the horizontal stabilizer lower bonded skin assemblies. This AD requires inspecting the horizontal stabilizer lower skin and associated bonded doublers and bonded stringers, repairing any area with corrosion beyond allowable damage limits, and incorporating revisions to the airworthiness limitations section (ALS) in the existing aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) or progressive maintenance program.
