Blackhawk Unveils New XR Upgrade Kit for the King Air 350

Increases Max Gross Takeoff Weight To 16,500 Pounds

Blackhawk Aerospace has FAA's Approval of a new STC for their new XR Upgrade Kit for the King Air 350 Series. The XR Kit optimizes a stock King Air 350 series aircraft by increasing Max Gross Takeoff Weight to 16,500 pounds and maintaining a Basic Aircraft Empty Weight that is 220 pounds lighter than comparable extended range aircraft for greater payloads and up to 25% more endurance. The original Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6A-60A engines and 4-bladed aluminum propellers are removed and replaced with brand-new 1200 shaft horsepower (SHP) PT6A-67A engines and lightweight MT 5-bladed composite propellers. Implementation Of The PRD Is A Matter Of Utmost Importance

The Regional Airline Association (RAA) has voiced its strong support for the FAA's Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on the establishment and maintenance of a robust Pilots Records Database (PRD). RAA member airlines' top priority is safety for our operations, and the development of an enhanced electronic system for sharing pilot records among air carriers and other operators will meaningfully enhance safety by providing more complete information in the hiring process. Horizon Int'l Flt Academy Logs More Than 1000 Hours In Its Bell 505s

Took Delivery Of Its First Aircraft In January

Horizon International Flight Academy has logged more than 1,000 flight hours in its Bell 505 fleet, mainly utilized to train military pilots. Horizon's training academy is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
