Sikorsky Delivers S-92 Helicopters To Bond Aviation Group

First Two Of 16 To Be Acquired By The Company

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has delivered the first two S-92 baseline helicopters to Bond Aviation Group, the first of 16 to be delivered under the largest one-time acquisition of S-92 aircraft ever received by Sikorsky. The company signed the contract with Sikorsky earlier this year. Sikorsky will customize the helicopters for offshore oil operations.

Pilots To Again Be Tried For Brazil Airline Accident

U.S. Citizens Will Not Be Present During The Proceedings

The pilots of a business jet which was involved in a mid-air collision with a Brazilian airliner in 2006 will be re-tried in absentia for their role in the accident. All 154 people on board the Boeing 737 involved in the collision were fatally injured in the accident.

FreeFlight Systems RA-4000 Radar Altimeter And FTG-410 Tone Generator Approved In Type Certificate Amendment For Factory Or Field Installation

Robinson Helicopter has received FAA certification for installation of FreeFlight Systems RA-4000 radar altimeter and FTG-410 Tone Generator audio alert safety system in Robinson R22, R44 and R66 models. FreeFlight Systems says the RA-4000 is part of the lightest-weight, lowest-cost radar altimeter solution available.

The NTSB met Wednesday and determined that the probable cause of the crash of an experimental Gulfstream G650 on April 2, 2011, in Roswell, NM, was the result of an aerodynamic stall and uncommanded roll during a planned takeoff test flight conducted with only one of the airplane’s two engines operating.
