The Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) certified the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) yesterday as the collective bargaining representative of Bearskin and Perimeter pilots. With 93 percent of eligible pilots participating in the representation election, 74 percent voted in favour of joining the world’s largest pilot union.

Covers Maintenance Service Offerings, Warranty Support And 24/7 Asset Exchange/Loan Services

GE Aviation and Lufthansa Technik AG enlarge their collaboration on Boeing 777X MRO services. The companies have signed a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreement under which Lufthansa Technik will be GE's authorized service provider for the backup generator/converter (BUG and BUC) and for certain Electrical Load Management Systems (ELMS) components on the new Boeing 777X aircraft. This long-term cooperation will cover the maintenance service offerings, warranty support and 24/7 asset exchange/loan services to worldwide 777X operators.

Embraer Announces KLM Intention For Up To 35 E195-E2 Jets

Order Includes 15 Firm Orders And 20 Options

Embraer announced at the 53rd International Paris Air Show, KLM Cityhopper's intention to purchase up to 35 E195-E2 jets, 15 firm orders with purchase rights for a further 20 aircraft of the same model. This intention, which still requires a Purchase Agreement, has a value of $2.48 billion based on Embraer's current list prices. The order will be added to Embraer's backlog as soon as a firm contract is completed.
