EViation Order Book Exceeds Two Billion Smackers...

Eviation Aircraft has announced that the order book for its nine-seater all-electric Alice airplane has passed a total value of US$ 2 billion. In other words... REAL money. The Eviation Alice conducted its first flight on 27 September 2022 at Grant County International Airport (MWH), Washington, U.S., the first all-electric commuter airplane to pass this test. This achievement marked the start of a new phase in the development of the Alice. Eviation is now focused on its certification program on the way to completing Entry into Service (EIS).

Participants Will Complete A 36-Month "Earn And Learn" Program

United Airlines has initiated Calibrate, an in-house apprenticeship program that will help grow and diversify its pipeline of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs). The inaugural class starts next week in Houston as the airline plans to train more than 1,000 people at about a dozen locations by 2026, with the goal of at least half being women or people of color.
