Vote On Flight Time Limitations Set By EU Parliament

Pilots And Cabin Crews Ask For Rejection

After a firm rejection in the EU Parliament Transport Committee, the EU Commission proposal for Flight Time rules for pilots and cabin crew will be put to a vote at the next EP Plenary meeting. On October 9 mid-day, a vote by all Parliament Members in Strasbourg will determine whether the safety loopholes contained in that proposal will become official EU-wide legislation and allow air crew to be landing after 22 hours awake, or flying as long as 12 hours and 30 minutes through the night.

NAC Places Additional Orders For 15 Firm ATRs And 25 Options

The Danish Lessor Brings Recent Orders Up To 130 ATRs, Valued At Over $3.1 Billion

On the occasion of the European Regional Association (ERA) General Assembly, held in Salzburg, the Danish leasing firm Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) and the regional turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR have announced the signature to increase the order placed at the 2013 Paris Airshow by an order for additionally 15 firm ATRs and options for 25 aircraft. The value of the increase alone is $3.1 billion.
