OK... its been kind of quiet on the FlightPrep front... but a suit that the company threatened in 2010 appears have come back to life, under new names, but with the same principles in charge... and the same lawyer leading the charge. The upshot is that SD Holdings who now claims to hold the patent wants $6 million a year for each year of infringement... and another $60 million on top of that -- From AOPA. NonDirectional Beacon An L/MF or UHF radio beacon transmitting nondirectional signals whereby the pilot of an aircraft equipped with direction finding equipment can determine his/her bearing to or from the radio beacon and "home" on or track to or from the station.
