Airbus Beats Order Target And Sets New Company Delivery Records

Overwhelming Market Preference For The New Engine Option Continues

Airbus delivered a company record of 588 aircraft to 89 customers (17 new) and exceeded its order target of 650 by winning 914 gross orders. These orders include 305 CEO, 478 NEO, 82 A330/A340s, 40 A350 XWB and nine A380s. Airbus’ backlog sets a new industry-wide record of 4,682 aircraft valued at over $638 billion.

Embraer Signs $1.5 Billion Contract With Aldus Aviation For Up To 35 E-Jets

Previously Listed As An 'Undisclosed Customer'

Irish aircraft leasing company Aldus Aviation Limited has agreed to purchase 20 E-Jets from Embraer, including five Embraer 175 and 15 Embraer 190. The contract also includes 15 purchase rights for any E-Jet family model. The deal can reach a total of  $1.56 billion, in 2012 economics conditions.
