As the worldwide fleet of 787-Dreamliners continues to sit on the ground while investigators probe two recent overheating battery incidents, Boeing Chairman, President and CEO Jim McNerney issued a statement saying the company "Deeply regrets" the impact on its customers and their passengers. The 787s batteries are made by GS Yuasa of Japan and its manufacturing process is almost certainly going to become part of the investigation. And wile the aviation world has plenty to worry about on the airline side of things, there is much sport flying goodness at Sebring's USSAE 2013 event and the ANN and Aero-TV teams were there to get it ALL. NASA To Test Bigelow Expandable Module On Space Station

Scheduled For Launch Aboard A 2015 SpaceX Cargo Delivery Flight

NASA Deputy Administrator Lori Garver announced Wednesday a newly planned addition to the International Space Station that will use the orbiting laboratory to test expandable space habitat technology. NASA has awarded a $17.8 million contract to Bigelow Aerospace to provide a Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (BEAM), which is scheduled to arrive at the space station in 2015 for a two-year technology demonstration.
