Manufacturers Join Together To Show Their Stuff
Hoping to jump-start aircraft sales
in the Midwest, several aircraft manufacturers' representatives
have banded together to host aircraft shows in the region.
The first, called the Show Me Air Expo, will be held at Midwest
Aviation Center at Spirit of St. Louis Airport June 11 and 12.
Show organizers say this is an opportunity for prospective
buyers to view numerous aircraft models at one location, speak with
manufacturers' representatives, and gather information on
insurance, financing and tax advantages. "We felt that this
would be a great opportunity for aircraft buyers to view a large
variety of new aircraft in one location," said Angelo Fiataruolo,
General Manager of Kansas City Aviation Center, which represents
Pilatus, Piper and Diamond aircraft in the Midwest. He said
with the current economy limiting dollars available to attract
prospects, all the different aircraft manufacturers will be able to
inexpensively show their product lines and attract buyers.
"We are all facing the same issues with attracting buyers, and if
we can join together for events like this, we all benefit in the
end," stated Fiataruolo.
At the Show Me Air Expo, representatives from Cessna, Cirrus,
Diamond, Gobosh, Hawker Beechcraft, Husky, Liberty, Pilatus, Piper,
and TBM850 will be displaying a variety of their aircraft including
pistons, turbo-props and jets. In addition, representatives
from insurance companies, tax consultants, and financing will be on
hand to answer questions and discuss their products.
Additional vendors continue to join the event, and interested
parties can go online to see the complete list of participants and
register for the show.
Additional locations have not yet been announced.
