Middletown Regional Airport/Hook Field In Ohio
The National Aeronca Association announced it will hold its 2025 Conference June 12-15 at Middletown Regional Airport /Hook Field (MWO) in Ohio. The event will feature camping on the field, a fly market, a tour of the Magellan Aerospace plant in Middletown, and a banquet.

The association is dedicated to supporting the preserving the history of Aeronca aircraft. It was founded by Jim Thompson in the 1990s and holds its convention biennially in Middletown, the location of the Aeronautical Corporation of America which manufactured Aeronca airplanes from 1928 to 1951. Aeronca is now a business unit of Magellan Aerospace which makes aerostructures and engine components for aviation, missile, and space vehicles.

Thursday June 12:
Friday June 13:
- All Day — Fly market
- 10:00 am — Bus to U.S. Air Force Museum; bus ticket $25 round trip; museum no charge
- 6:00 pm — Panoramic photo of all attendees
- 7:00 pm — Dinner on the field near the registration tent, tickets $25
Saturday June14:
- Morning until 1 pm — Aeronca aircraft judging
- All Day — Fly market
- 10:00 am — Magellan Aerospace factory tour
- 1:00 pm — Aeronca forums by Bill Pancake and others
- 7:00 pm — Banquet at Forest Hills Country Club, tickets $50
Sunday June 15:

Registration is $40 per person for the conference, $50 for Families (Kids under 12 Free).
Camping is permitted by your airplane. Camping trailers and motor homes are also welcome. Showers will be available at the FBO on the field.
Awards will be presented for Grand Champion, Antique, Grand Champion Classic, and many Best in Class awards. There will also be an award for the longest distance flown in an Aeronca to the conference.
Please Note: There is an active skydiving drop zone on the southwest corner of the airport. Monitor the CTAF 123.00 for announcements of jumpers. If you are NORDO keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel, and be careful!
MWO is on Eastern Daylight Time; Runways 23 and 26 are RIGHT traffic; Bring your own tiedowns – NO dogleash tiedowns permitted.
