Passenger Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Money From FA

Was Returning From Vacation In Iceland, May Have Flushed Cash In Airplane Lav

A man from Massachusetts has been arrested and charged with stealing $300 from a flight attendant on an Iceland Air flight to Boston on Sunday ... but the evidence may be difficult, and messy, to recover.

The man, identified as Tory Johnson of Gloucester, MA, was reportedly returning from a vacation in Iceland, and he allegedly took U.S. and foreign currency from the FA's purse during the flight. The Associated Press reports that police met the airplane after it landed in Boston at Logan International Airport, and when confronted, Johnson returned the foreign notes to the FA. But he later locked himself in the airplane lavatory, and authorities believe he flushed the rest of the cash down the toilet.

Johnson was released from police custody, and was scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
