Volatus Aerospace Delivers Tactical ISR Drones To NATO Partner

Deal Worth C$1.85 Million Completed

Canadian provider of uncrewed aerial systems for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) as well as cargo solutions, announced it delivered a fleet of ISR drone systems to a partner in a NATO country in a transaction worth about C$1.8 million.

The systems have all been delivered and are fully operational. They are lightweight tactical drones equipped with both visual and thermal sensors that are capable of all-weather and day or night operations. Through their optimization for short-range reconnaissance they provide enhanced frontline situational awareness and can be rapidly deployed in dynamic and contested environments.

Glen Lynch, CEO of Volatus Aerospace said, “This delivery underscores our ability to contribute innovative and mission-ready technologies to allied defense operations. As global conflicts evolve, so does the need for agile, field-proven ISR capabilities.”

This delivery is an indication of the expansion of Volatus’ role in defense support and fits in well with NATO’s growing investment in high-capability and cost-effective ISR platforms.

Volatus is continuing to pursue opportunities in Canada with allied governments seeking flexible and scalable drone solutions that meet the rigorous performance standards required in critical or contested environments.

The company is located in Vaughan, Ontario, just north of Toronto, and specializes in comprehensive remote-sensing solutions for both piloted and remotely piloted aircraft systems for a broad range of industries including oil and gas, energy utilities, healthcare, public safety, and infrastructure.
