Classic Aero-TV: CiES All-Digital Fuel Senders

From Earlier in 2024 (YouTube Version): New Capabilities For Business Aviation

CiES Corporation President Scott Philiben walked Aero-News Editor in Chief Jim Campbell through some of what sets his products apart from the rest of the market. Cies units are “the only proven, all-digital fuel senders” around, a vast improvement from early float-type sensors equipped on centennial legacy systems.

The latest and greatest from Cies includes greater compatibility with varied systems and avionics, tip and tilt compensation, damping, and accurization. Despite the apparent simplicity of fuel sensing in theory, it’s taken a lot of work to develop accurate, reliable, and electronic fuel quantity indicators.

Next up on deck? The Beechcraft King Air will get some attention from CiES, but Philiben can’t give away too many hints just yet.

Aero-TV is a production of the Internationally syndicated Aero-News Network. Seen worldwide by hundreds of thousands of aviators and aviation adherents, ANN's Aero-TV has produced well over 5000 aviation and feature programs, including over 2500 episodes of our daily aviation news program, AIRBORNE UNLIMITED, currently hosted by Holland Lee. Now in its third decade of operation, parent company Aero-News Network, has the most aggressive and intensive editorial profile of any aviation news organization and has published well over a half-million news and feature stories since its inception -- having pioneered the online 24/7 aviation new-media model that so many have emulated.
