Daley's Folly: Chicago TFR Published

As we warned you...

It sickens us to see that politics and selfish ambition have won (again) over sense and reason... but that's the way of the world we live in. Herein, the text of the Chicago TFR, the latest battle in Richard Daley's senseless war against aviation.

EAA PO'ed

EAA says they're extremely displeased with the Bush Administration’s decision to give in to political pressure in lieu of credible threat intelligence. “Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials had stated that they would not introduce more widespread restrictions unless intelligence points to a specific target or credible threat," EAA Executive Vice President Bob Warner said. “Yet they are seemingly caving in to Mayor Daley, who has a history of spurious requests to severely restrict airspace above his city. We call on the FAA and DHS to stick to their word; either produce the specific, credible intelligence of a terrorist threat, or cancel this TFR.”
