Bombardier had hoped to fly the new Learjet 85 before 2013 ended, but on December 31, it announced that there would be another delay in getting the airplane flying.

The FAA has announced the selection of the six public entities that will develop unmanned aircraft systems, (referred to as UAS) research and test sites around the country. These test sites will conduct critical research into the certification and operational requirements necessary to safely integrate UAS into the national airspace system over the next several years. While our crews are working diligently on both the upcoming 3rd Edition of the SportPlane Resource Guide and the all-new AeroSports Guide books, we are well aware of the need for some introductory information to provide guidance RIGHT NOW to those looking at the LSA and SportPlane business. With that in mind, ANN’s Jim Campbell has ALSO started work on a SportPlane Mini-Guide that will be offered FREE, yes, FREE, to the SportPlane community shortly after the conclusion of this year’s Sebring Sport Aviation Expo. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
