MD Helicopters Provide Saudi Army National Guard Logistical and Tech Support

5-Year Contract For Parts and MRO For MD530F Helicopters

MD Helicopters (MDH) of Mesa, Arizona, announced it has signed a 5-year, $19 million contract to provide spare parts, repair & overhaul, and technical and logistical support in-country for the Saudi Army National Guard’s (SANG) twelve MD530F helicopter training fleet.

The contract covers a base year and four additional optional years. MDH will provide a field service representative and logistics technician in Saudi Arabia for parts management and fleet maintenance, as well as aircraft parts and materials to maintain the current fleet. MDH will provide aircraft support directly to improve maintenance and parts acquisition to reduce down time and costs. The presence of on-site expertise and assistance will enable SANG to be more responsive and available for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Already, MDH personnel are providing support on location and $1 million of spare parts will be delivered this month.

MDH President Ryan Weeks said, “The Saudi Arabian National Guard is a long time MD customer, and it is our privilege to be their preferred partner for ensuring timely and cost-effective maintenance of the fleet. By working directly with MD, SANG will experience increased responsiveness, faster turn times, and higher quality work, which translates into time and money savings.”
