NBAA-BACE To Feature Collegiate Connect For Students

Showcasing The Myriad Opportunities in Business Aviation

The NBAA will have a special event for college students at its Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in October.

The NBAA-BACE Collegiate Connect will be a free, one-day program for all registered students, faculty, and chaperones, and is intended to shine a spotlight on all the opportunities the industry offers.  Attendees must show a school or university ID at one of the registration counters to secure a student badge.

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen and other industry leaders will open the program with a welcome and “big picture” message for the students. Then a panel discussion follows where young professionals and management-level speakers share strategies for attracting and retaining top talent in business aviation. Students will next participate in a fun networking session where they can select a career category and speak with young professionals who are working in those roles. The categories include airport business and management, pilot, flight attendant, scheduler, maintenance, and marketing.

Jo Damato, CAM, NBAA’s senior vice president of education, training and workforce development said, “Collegiate Connect is a carefully curated event to help students learn about, and get inspired by, business aviation. It’s like business aviation LinkedIn, come to life. Ultimately, though, it’s about getting students to come and have fun getting engaged with our industry.”
