Fourth Crew Member Experienced a Medical Issue After 235 Day Space Mission
The fourth and final astronaut from NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8 mission has been released from the hospital after an overnight stay. The three other crew members left for Houston the previous day following their 235 day space mission. The crew returned to Earth at 3:29 am on October 25, splashing down off the Florida panhandle.

The four astronauts from NASA’s SpaceX-based Crew-8 mission successfully returned to earth at around 3:30 am on October 25. Their stay on the International Space Station lasted eight months; 55 days longer than originally planned. Crew-8 launched from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on March 3 with NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps along with Roscosmos Cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin.
When Marine Corps veteran Catherine Banks went to board her flight at San Francisco International Airport (KSFO), she was wearing a T-shirt that read, “Do Not Give In To The War Within. End Veteran Suicide.” Banks was stopped by a male flight attendant who said her T-shirt was “threatening” and Banks told him she spent 22 years as a Marine and she was going to visit her sister, also a Marine.
Training Future Airline Pilots In Antwerp And Alicante
Skywings Flight Training announced it has taken delivery of two Diamond DA40 NG aircraft at Diamond Aircraft’s headquarters in Neustadt, Austria. The aircraft will be used to train future airline pilots. The aircraft are the first two of four that Skywings will receive this year, bringing their fleet total to 8 Diamond aircraft. The four most recent were ordered along with a DA40/42 FNPT II simulator at the European Airline Training Symposium in Cascais, Portugal, in November 2023. The simulator is installed at the Antwerp training facility.

Textron Aviation unveiled its third generation of light jets this past week, starting just a day before the National Business Aviation Association’s annual Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) kicked off in Las Vegas. These jets are the Cessna Citation M2 Gen3, CJ3 Gen3, and CJ4 Gen3. The eight-seat M2 Gen 3 has a maximum range of 1,550 nm and supports payloads up to 1,510 lbs. It serves as an entry-level jet with several comfort and productivity upgrades, like wireless charging, USB-A and USB-C ports at each seat, and a slightly expanded cockpit.
