Airborne 03.04.19: SAP Engine Grounding, New PAC45A, STC Group AML Update

In a far-reaching decision that affects over 100 engines, Superior Air Parts has confirmed that they are implementing a mandatory grounding/buy-back of all their XP-382 and XP-400 experimental aircraft engines. Bill Ross, A&P I/A and Superior Air Parts' VP Product Support explained that the company's decision to take all of the XP-382 and XP-400 engines out of the market comes after a lengthy evaluation and testing process. PS Engineering has introduced the latest variant of the PAC45, an FAA TSO’d special mission audio controller with MultiTalker, a 3-Dimensional sound placement system to help pilots differentiate the various radios they monitor simultaneously. Covers Installation Kit For The Non-TSO’d Trio Pro Pilot Digital Autopilot

The STC Group, LLC, today announced that it has received an STC for the installation kit for the non-TSO’d Trio Pro Pilot digital autopilot into Cessna 190, 195, LC-126A and LC-126B. The Cessna LC-126C prototype airframe is in the Oxnard, CA facility. The LC-126C project should be completed over the next month.
