2025 Shows Classic Airframes Still Have a Fanbase

The Twin Cessna Flyer (TTCF) group checked off a big milestone at EAA AirVenture 2025, drawing a record-setting crowd of over 150 members and guests to its annual dinner and social.

While Textron has apparently lost interest in competing in the world of piston twins, owners and operators of the types remain enamored with their excellent aircraft. The Twin Cessna Flyer is the official owner’s group for the whole gamut of Cessna multis, whether getting into the club with a 310 or showing up with a 414. They maintain an exclusive knowledge base of everything worth knowing about the designs.

Their leadership used the occasion to show off a new member-exclusive marketplace for parts, along with a slate of exclusive educational offerings online. Anyone deep into ownership experience of a complex aircraft grows to appreciate its quirks, and anyone who’s been flying one long enough - safely, of course - probably has a number of worthwhile pointers. The TTCF’s online Systems & Engines Seminar has seen a lot of fresh interest from owners and would-be operators digging into the Cessna Twin lifestyle. That’s probably just the start, for the Flyers, as they expand their digital education offerings.
