Aviation Leaders Join NBAA Board Advisory Council

Bringing Decades Of Experience In BizAv, Other Sectors

The National Business Aviation Association announced the naming of two members to its Board of Directors and three members to its Advisory Council.

Ed Bolen, President and CEO of NBAA said, “NBAA is excited to welcome these leaders to the association’s board and advisory council. They bring decades of experience not only in business aviation, but other sectors including finance, technology, sustainability and philanthropy to their work with NBAA, which will be invaluable to the association and industry.”

The new members of the Board of Directors are:

Daniel Baker, who founded FlightAware global aerospace data provider and served as its CEO from inception in 2005 until it was acquired by Raytheon in 2021. He is currently a technology investor and philanthropist, and is also a commercial pilot and flight instructor.

Kennedy Ricci, who launched 4AIR in 2020 to facilitate the contributions of organizations and individuals to the industry goal of ner-zero by 2050. He is a commercial general aviation pilot and flight instructor.

The new members of the Advisory Council are:

Joe Barber, leads commercial operations at Clay Lacy Aviation. He is also a board member of the Southern California Aviation Association and has chaired the NBAA Business Aviation Management Committee.

C.R. Sincock, II, a member of the executive team at Avfuel who focuses on next-generation aviation technologies including sustainable aviation fuels, hybrid-electric power, and led the development of AvfuelZero.

Phil Straub, head of Garmin’s aviation business segment and manages product development, flight ops, certification, sales, marketing, programs, and support. He also served as the board chair of GAMA and has been on the board of the Drone Advisory Committee for the FAA.
