BA Flight Makes Unscheduled Stop In Canada

Entire Flight Crew Fell Ill During Flight

A British Airways flight from San Francisco to London made an unscheduled stop in Vancouver, B.C. after the entire Flight crew fell ill during the flight.

The McClatchy news service reports that all 25 members of the crew, including all three pilots, fell ill several hours into the flight. Flight 286 had departed from KSFO at 1915 PDT on Monday, and was over Montana when it was diverted to Vancouver, according to the report.

A British Airways spokeswoman said that none of the 400 passengers aboard the A380 was affected. The crew was checked out at a local hospital and discharged, according to the spokeswoman.

British Airways accomodated the passengers at local hotels, and rebooked them aboard flights on Tuesday.
