EAA Responds To 'Impending' FAA Reauthorization

The May 10 Expiration Of The Current Extension Is Only Days Away

EAA has gone public with their thoughts on the upcoming vote on FAA Reauthorization... stating that they are, "appreciative of the work by the U.S. House and Senate aviation committee leaders to develop the bipartisan, bicameral FAA Reauthorization bill pre-conferenced text released this week.

With the May 10 expiration of the current extension only days away, the passage of long-term reauthorization is imperative in ensuring the FAA has the proper staffing and infrastructure needed to safeguard operations in the National Airspace System. We recognize and thank Senators Maria Cantwell, Ted Cruz, Tammy Duckworth and Jerry Moran, and Representatives Sam Graves, Rick Larsen, Garret Graves and Steve Cohen along with their staff’s for their continued efforts and leadership in crafting and championing this important piece of legislation."

“Passage of the long-term FAA Reauthorization is important for all of aviation, including the General Aviation Community,” said Jack Pelton, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board.

“Reauthorization gives the FAA and the aviation community the stability necessary to address key issues ranging from regulation to fuels and put together the strategies and plans to keep America’s aviation infrastructure the best and most vibrant in the world.”
