Mooney's New Look

Not Only Can You See Out Better, They Look Better on the Outside, Too

First, they lowered the panel two full inches, making the view to the outside better.

Now, they've made the view of the outside, better.

Mooney Airplane Company and Scheme Designers, Inc., the leading aircraft paint scheme design company, have completed the design of a new look for the Mooney line, which includes the Ovation, Ovation 2 DX and Bravo DX models. The new paint schemes are at Mooney’s display at AirVenture 2003 in Oshkosh.

Craig Barnett, Founder of Scheme Designers, said, "These schemes create a dynamic new look for the Mooney line, with flowing lines and bold use of colors."  Nicolas Chabbert, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing commissioned Scheme Designers to develop the new schemes for Mooney as part of the celebration of Mooney’s 50th anniversary. "We wanted something new and exciting –- reflective of Mooney’s performance leadership in its market segment," Mr. Chabbert commented, adding that the "initial reaction from clients and Mooney Team Representatives has been extremely positive."

Little Bitty Mooney There, Too: Mite

As part of the launch of the new paint schemes and the 50th anniversary of Mooney aircraft, a Mooney Mite, the aircraft Al Mooney designed that launched the company, is also at Oshkosh. This completely-restored Mooney Mite, owned by Mal Gross of Eastsound (WA), also sports a Scheme Designers paint scheme designed last year for Mr. Gross.
