Tiger Aircraft Appoints Winward Aviation Authorized Sales Center

Tiger Aircraft has announced the appointment of Windward Aviation as the exclusive Tiger Sales and Service Representative for the state of Florida.

Windward Aviation is located at Palm Beach County Park Airport in Lantana, Florida and has been recognized as one of the nation’s top maintenance and service facilities providing safety-oriented practical maintenance and operating procedures for the American Bonanza Society and operators of all Beech products. Windward Aviation’s FAA certified and field trained specialists offer services from routine maintenance and annual inspections to major airframe modifications and refurbishing.

Owners Jim and Marisa (Reese) Leach are experienced aviation professionals. Jim Leach holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He served as design engineer and program manager for Allison Engine Company and as a professional engineer prior to forming Windward Aviation in 1999. Marisa Leach holds a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from Indiana University. Marisa served with Allison Engine Company in engineering and program management and as a professional engineer in the State of Indiana prior to forming Windward Aviation.

“The Tiger AG5B construction, quality and integrity are a natural fit to our sales and service center operation. Our entire staff is looking forward to providing the Florida aviation community with the professional sales, service, and product support that Windward Aviation has been renowned for,” said Jim Leach, President of Winward Aviation.

The Windward Aviation sales department will be headed up by Gerard Zubka, Sales Manager. Mr. Zubka is extremely familiar with the attributes of the Tiger. He formed Affordable Aircraft Ownership, an aircraft management company specializing in quarter share aircraft ownership and operation featuring the Tiger AG5B in 2003. Prior to joining Windward Aviation, Mr. Zubka was a pilot for American Airlines and held various corporate pilot positions since his tour as a Naval Aviator.

“The Tiger certainly lives up to its legend. It is the most agile, responsive, and fun to fly aircraft I have ever flown. With an excellent safety track record, low operating costs, and excellent performance, the Tiger is a real value in the fixed gear, single-engine market. I am truly excited about representing Tiger sales in the Florida marketing territory,” Zubka said.

“I am pleased to welcome Windward Aviation to our growing network of Tiger Sales and Service Centers. It is a pleasure to work with such a professional organization with the sales, service, and maintenance reputation that the Windward team has earned in the general aviation industry,” said Mat Goodman, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tiger Aircraft, LLC.
