Ercoupe Owners Convention Hits Wausau In July

Celebrating 85th Anniversary Of Type Certificate

The Ercoupe Owners Club announced its 2025 National Convention will be held from Tuesday, July 15 to Saturday, July 19, at the Wausau Downtown Airport (KAUW) in Wisconsin. This year’s event will celebrate the 85th anniversary of the ‘Coupe’s Type Certificate.

After the convention, the group will depart for the EAA AirVenture fly-in at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Oshkosh, where there will be a dinner held for the EOC on Monday night July 21, and the Club advises those planning to attend the dinner they are able to sign up for it in the EOC Convention registration form or separately if not attending the convention.

The EOC’s departure from AUW is planned for Saturday the 19th to make way for pilots arriving to participate in the AirVenture Cup air race which originates out of AUW.

Both online and mail-in Registration for the EOC Convention ends on June 30, 2025, after which attendees can register on-site as a walk-up. A late fee of $15 applies for walk-ups as well as mail postmarked after June 30.

The Club has held a block of rooms under Ercoupe Convention until June 15 at the Country Inn and Suites by Radisson at 1520 Metro Drive in Schofield. The number to call for reservations is 715-359-1881. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast and is next door to The Log Cabin, a popular local restaurant.

A second block of rooms is being held until June 15 at the Holiday Inn & Suites at 1000 Imperial Drive, Rothschild, which is also the location for the banquet. Their reservation line is 715-355-1111. This hotel has a full restaurant and a shuttle service to the airport.

The Club strongly recommends booking hotel reservations as early as possible, as area hotels fill up quickly, particularly with AirVenture guests.
