It seems hard to believe that for 15 years there have been people living in space aboard the International Space Station. This milestone was marked by both NASA and the White House Monday. The first station crew, docked November 2nd, 2000 after launching two days earlier inside the Soyuz TM-31 spacecraft. The young space station at the time consisted of just three modules. IATA: Air Freight Markets Grow Slightly In September

Overall Volume Remains Slightly Down From 2014 Peak

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released data for global air freight markets showing very modest growth in September. Measured in Freight Tonne Kilometers, air cargo volumes rose 1.0% compared to the same month a year ago. This is a slight improvement on the August performance when volumes were broadly stable. Overall, however, air cargo volumes remain 1.2% down from their 2014 year-end peak.
