The first every X Prize Cup is scheduled to make its October
debut in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event, scheduled to take place
October 6th to 9th will showcase spacecraft prototypes, rocket

This is one of those stories I never thought I'd have to do...
but a tragic and fiery midair collision during a presentation of
the "Masters of Disaster" airshow routine has resulted in two
fatalities and a reported injury after the three airplanes ran
afoul of each other.
When ANN's Jim Campbell flew the Eclipse 500 last week, one of
the most impressive sights to be had was not necessarily from the
left seat of N504EA at 18,000 feet, but in viewing the immense
progress made on the test aircraft, under assembly, being used to
certify this revolutionary aircraft.
The launch countdown clock began at 1800 EDT Sunday at the T-43
hour mark counting down toward a launch of Space Shuttle Discovery
on mission STS-114 on Wednesday at 1551. The launch control team
members are in firing room 3 of the Launch Control Center at NASA's
Kennedy Space Center and will be monitoring their system
consoles.
The International Space Station Expedition 11 crew was back to
work last week, conducting experiments, and more importantly,
preparing for company. It's more than just a quick visit and a
brief chat, they've got to make some room in case the visitors need
to stay.

NASA managers urge all aircraft pilots to fully comply with the
airspace restrictions imposed around KSC prior to and during Space
Shuttle launches and landings. Bridge and waterway restrictions
will also be in effect.
"At approximately 16:20, the Air
Show was brought to an unexpected halt after two pilots from
Masters Of Disaster were killed in a collision mid-flight. The
planes were Samson and Waco... Our thoughts and prayers are with
the families and friends of those
involved."
