Aero-TV: READYING FOR A FIGHT? - Senator Inhofe on ATC Privatization

Change Will Not Happen If We Do Not Work For It... Inhofe’s Efforts Prove it

While at EAA AirVenture 2015, ANN News Editor Tom Patton sits down to talk with Senator James Inhofe (OK) about what’s going on with FAA Reauthorization and how it may affect us in general aviation.

As Congress prepares to moves ahead with FAA Reauthorization discussions, one of the issues that’s already being considered is the privatization of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system. The concern regarding this is that along with the concept of a privatized ATC comes the concept of paying individually fees for services provided by ATC.

Senator Inhofe said that the current White House administration already has a $100 per flight fee proposed in the budget. Inhofe’s opinions regarding this are quite clear, and if you know anything about Senator Inhofe, you already know he does not think this is a good idea.

In the video, Senator Inhofe gives us his point of view regarding ATC privatization and user fees. He says he’s going to beat this, and it’s well worth watching this short video to get his personal input on this issue.
