Third Time's (Still) A Charm For Pratt & Whitney Canada

P&WC Helicopter Support Tops Pro Pilot Survey for Third Consecutive Year

Helicopter engine support provided by Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp. (P&WC) has been ranked No. 1 by operators for the third year in a row in Pro Pilot (one of our favorite print magazines) magazine's annual powerplant support survey. The latest survey, released in November 2002, was based on 221 helicopter operator responses and compared the engine support of four major turboshaft engine manufacturers: P&WC, Rolls-Royce, Turbomeca and Honeywell.

P&WC took first position in the helicopter comparison and increased its overall score to 8.09 from 7.77 in 2001, demonstrating improvements in all categories. "We are very proud of these results, which reflect our concerted efforts to enhance our support services to our customers around the world," commented Maria Della Posta, Vice President, Customer Support, P&WC.

In the survey, engine manufacturers were rated by respondents on a scale of 1 (worst) to 10 (best) in a number of key product support categories including: response to problems; spares availability; cost of parts; speed in AOG service; technical manuals; technical representatives; and service satisfaction. P&WC is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation, a high-technology company based in Hartford, Connecticut.
