Tassili Travail Aérien Acquires First Aero-Med And First In Africa

Textron Aviation announced that Tassili Travail Aérien (TTA) has signed an order for two Cessna SkyCourier aircraft that represent the first purchase of an aero-medical configured SkyCourier as well as the first SkyCourier purchased in Africa.

TTA is based in Algeria and is a subsidiary of Sonatrach, the national state-owned oil and gas company. TTA provides services to the energy sector across Algeria that include passenger transport, aero-medical evacuation, and special mission services.

Bob Gibbs, Vice President, Special Mission Sales for Textron Aviation said, “The Cessna SkyCourier is a versatile aircraft capable of supporting challenging missions, high payloads and short, rough runways worldwide. TTA’s mission package includes the advanced Lifeport PLUS Powered Medevac System, allowing TTA to quickly switch from passenger or cargo to medevac missions.”

The Cessna SkyCourier is a large, twin-engine turboprop utility aircraft that promises to modernize TTA’s fleet conducting transportation and medevac missions by bringing improved efficiency and reliability as well as lower operating costs.

Delivery of the aircraft is expected in 2026 and they will be based in Algiers and Hassi Messaoud in Algeria.
