MT-Based Aerotronics To Handle Installations

Velocity, Inc., manufacturer of the Velocity line of high-performance canard aircraft, announced this week at AirVenture 2008 they are newest purveyor of the Garmin G900X integrated avionics suite.

The planemaker tells ANN Garmin has been extremely selective of the aircraft they have approved for installation of their top-of-the-line EFIS system for experimental aircraft, and Velocity is proud to be the newest member of that group.

Velocity will perform the Garmin G900X installations and retrofits on all Velocity aircraft at their Sebastian, FL. Aerotronics, Inc. of Billings, MT has been selected as the approved radio shop to perform the G900X final QC and certification in Velocity aircraft.

Aerotronics has a history of G900X installations under their belt, and has proven to be one of the preferred radio shops around the country for many Velocity owners to bring their aircraft for avionics installations.

The maiden Velocity G900X installation will be in a Velocity TXL-RG kit purchased by Peter Diamandis, of X-Prize fame. Peter is also the co-founder of the Rocket Racing League... whose subsidiary, the Rocket Racing Composites Corporation recently purchased Velocity, Inc.

The Diamandis TXL will also feature a Lycoming TIO-540 engine, producing 380hp, whereas the stock Velocity TXL features a Continental TSIO-550 producing 310hp.
