Schweizer Aircraft Books Record Number Of Worldwide Orders At HAI

Receives 37 Helo Orders In Dallas

Earlier this week, Sikorsky subsidiary Schweizer Aircraft announced it received 37 helicopter orders at this year's Heli-Expo trade show in Dallas, TX. The orders are the most ever received by the company at the trade show.

The new orders include both the 300 piston (right) and 333 turbine models (below), and represent sales to distributors and operators in seven different countries: Belgium, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom and the United States.

Management at Schweizer credits much of the success at this year's Heli-Expo to the more than 60 sales and service center reps from around the world who attended workshops and briefings on the company's plans for increasing output and product improvements. For many it was their first trade show under the unified Sikorsky/Schweizer partnership and during the successful integration of Schweizer.

"The sales and distribution network was really energized when they saw that the integration with Sikorsky was going extremely well and that Schweizer had still retained its original commitment to quality, safety, customer focus, and its family like feel. That realization helped to make this show such a success for us," said Paul Schweizer, President of Schweizer Aircraft.

The Schweizer 333 turbine helicopter is operated throughout the world in demanding roles including law enforcement patrol, powerline/pipeline patrol, commercial and military flight training, ranching, external load operations, animal surveys, aerial photography, and personal transportation. Its spacious cockpit, large useful load, impressive performance, robust design, low acquisition price and low direct operating costs make the 333 best-in-class for patrol and training roles.

In addition to the 333, Schweizer Aircraft Corp. manufactures the Model 300C and 300CBi piston helicopters -- the latter serving as the training helicopter of choice throughout the world. Additional products currently in production include the Fire Scout VTUAV, SA 2-37B and RU-38B surveillance airplanes, and a wide range of major airframe components under subcontract to the US aerospace industry.

Schweizer sells and supports its aircraft through a worldwide network of sales and service centers in more than 70 countries.
