CHP Selects Becker Digital Audio And Polycon Wireless Intercom

Systems To Be Installed In New Helicopters And Fixed Wing Fleet

Becker Avionics has reached an agreement with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Office of Air Operations, which will install the Becker DVCS6100 Digital Audio system and Polycon wireless communication system, for integration into their recent purchase of new fleet replacement helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.

Initial aircraft deliveries of CHP's new AS350 B3 helicopters started late last year, and their first GippsAero GA8 Airvan delivery took place recently. Both new aircraft fleets are expected to be delivered within three years.

Recognized for its unparalleled scalability, reliability and rugged design, the DVCS6100 Digital Audio System reduces engineering, certification and integration effort, saving both time and money. Designed for fixed-wing and rotary-wing applications, Becker's digital audio system offers crystal-clear voice communication quality and a proven Human-Machine-Interface (HMI).

Since market introduction, over 1500 DVCS systems have been delivered to commercial and military customers worldwide.
