Army Paratrooper Lost At Ft. Bragg

Liberty, and its defense, continue to exact a tragic price.

An Army Counterintelligence Specialist attached to the 310th Military Intelligence Battalion of the 525th Military Intelligence Brigade was killed, Sunday, after a parachute jump from a CH-47 Chinook.

Pfc. Ronald M. Jenkins Jr., 29, of Hillsboro, Ohio, was found unconscious on a Ft. Bragg drop zone despite no immediate evidence of either a main or reserve parachute malfunction. He was later pronounced dead due to undisclosed injuries. The Army has launched an investigation of the accident.

Jenkins entered the Army in November 2001 and had been at Fort Bragg since July. ANN offers its prayers and condolences to the Jenkins' family and the fine members of the 310th MIB...
