Airborne Osh24 Day 3 Redux: 2/3 Scale P-38!!, Womenventure 2024, Sonex HW

07.24.24: Extra's Latest, GoAero, Kiddie Pedal Plane Parade, Pelton On Safety

Editor's Note: While the ANN crew works its way home, remembers (or tries to) their names, and reacquaints themselves with their families, we will be re-presenting the outstanding week of Oshkosh coverage we presented for AirVenture 2024... we'll be back on a regular schedule next week. Enjoy!

We’ve seen some extraordinary homebuilt projects, several of them replicas of historic aircraft, but a gorgeous, stunning and all-around incredible 2/3 scale P-38 may top them all... and then there’s the story about how it came to be and the folks that are it’s caretakers now.

Come Wednesday morning, the female staff of the Aero-News Network disappear... to attend various WomenVenture functions and enjoy the partnership WAI has created amongst a growing segment of the aviation community. The LSA crowd has been going ga-ga- over various promised high-wing platforms, but one of the most breathlessly anticipated new birds comes from Sonex... who is displaying their in-progress prototype high-wing platform for the first time. Count on Walter Extra to keep raising the aerobatic bar. The Extra gang unveiled their latest aerobat at the IAC Headquarters building at AirVenture 2024... GoAero claims to be building the world’s first-ever autonomy-enabled Emergency Response Flyer. They’d like to get your support... let’s check out what they have in mind. Oh my goodness... with all the amazing sights and sounds of Oshkosh, there is NOTHING that compares to the cuteness overload that occurs during the Annual Oshkosh Kiddie Pedal Parade... awwwwwwwwwww. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

Airborne's Oshkosh Day 3, 07.24.24, is chock full of info in this Daily News Episode, Wednesday, July 24th, 2024... Presented by Aero-TV veteran videographer and Airborne Host Holland Lee. Holland is supported by ANN Chief Videographer Nathan Cremisino, as well as Patrick Bottinelli, Tom Butler and ANN CEO/Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell. This episode covers:

  • A 2/3 Scale P-38? Really? WOW, just... WOW
  • Womenventure 2024 Takes Over Oshkosh
